Alec Ross (Charleston, West Virginia, 1971) is considered one of the world's leading experts on innovation. He served as a senior advisor for innovation at the U.S. Department of State and collaborated with Hillary Clinton during her tenure. In 2013, he left the Department of State and joined the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University as a senior fellow. His book "The Industries of the Future" stood out on the New York Times Best Sellers list, was translated into 18 languages, and won the award for Best Book of the Year from the Tribeca Disruptive Innovation Awards in 2016.
