
Nikos Davvetas
Nikos G. Davvetas (Athens, 1960) made his literary debut in 1981 through the magazine "Diagonios" in Thessaloniki. To date, he has published twelve books (six poetry collections, one short story collection, and five novels). His collection "Van Gogh's Yellow Darkness" (Kedros, 1995) has been translated into English and Spanish. In 2003, a selection of his poems was published in the UK, translated by Thom Nairn. His poems and prose have been translated into major European languages. In 2010, he was awarded the Novel Prize by the Kostas & Eleni Ourani Foundation of the Academy of Athens for his book "The Jewish Bride." He has collaborated with magazines such as "Partisan Review," "Agenda," "Waves," "Modern Poetry in Translation," and "Erythia." His literary reviews from the magazine "To Tetarto" and the newspapers "Typos tis Kyriakis" and "To Vima" are included in the volume "Literature Under Review." Since 1992, he has been a member of the Society of Authors.
