Katerina Svynou

Katerina Svynou was born in 1984 in Vrontados, Chios. She studied Cultural Informatics at the University of the Aegean in Mytilene and pursued postgraduate studies in Educational Sciences with a specialization in Creative Writing at the University of Western Macedonia in Florina. In 2017, her first book "Preza Zois" was published by Alfa Pi Editions. Her short stories have been awarded in the 4th European Literary Competition "Antonis Samarakis" in 2013, in the international short story competition of the online literary magazine eyeland.gr in 2015, and in 2018, she received the Special Short Story Award in the Panhellenic and Pancyprian literary competition "Reading Nikos Kazantzakis". She occasionally contributes articles to the local print media.
