Peter Wohlleben

Peter Wohlleben was born in 1964 in Bonn and has wanted to work in nature conservation since childhood. He studied forestry and served for over twenty years with the German State Forestry Administration. In order to put his ecological views into practice, he resigned and now manages an environmentally friendly forestry organization in the Eifel region. His goal is the regeneration of virgin forests. "The Hidden Life of Trees" was first published in Germany in 2016 and has since been a bestseller, translated into more than 35 languages, with its American edition being named the 2017 Book of the Year by independent bookstores. This was followed by the book "Das Seelenleben der Tiere" (The Inner Life of Animals) and in September 2017, "Das geheime Netzwerk der Natur" (The Secret Network of Nature).
