Sara THilykou
Sarah Thilykou was born in Thessaloniki, where she studied theology, theater (School of Fine Arts, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki), and music (Northern Greece Conservatory). She pursued postgraduate studies and attended seminars in Utrecht (De Uithof Universiteit) and Paris (Institut Catholique). She holds a Ph.D. in Theology from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Since 1988, she has been a contributor to the magazine Nea Poreia, the "Readings" supplement of the newspaper Avgi tis Kyriakis, and a member of the editorial team of the magazines Poeticanet and Nadwah (Hong Kong). She has published reviews, essays, translations, and poems in Greece and abroad ("The Culturium," "Ambrozijn," "World Poetry Movement," among others). In 2017, she participated in the first International Cavafy Summer School by the Onassis Foundation and published her first poetry collection ("The World in Three Acts"). In 2019, she published her second collection ("Their Name"). Her poems have been translated into many languages and are available in: - Japanese-English: Sarah Thilykou - Maki Starfield, "Duet of Islands," Japan Universal Poets Association, Kyoto 2018. - Portuguese: Sarah Thilykou - Maki Starfield, "Dueto das Ilhas," Japan Universal Poets Association, Kyoto 2020.
