Amor Towles

Amor Towles was born and raised in the Boston area. He is a graduate of Yale and holds a master's degree in literature from Stanford University. After working as an investment professional in Manhattan for twenty years, he is now dedicated exclusively to writing. His first novel, "Rules of Civility," released in 2011, appeared on the New York Times best sellers list in both its hardcover and trade editions, and the Wall Street Journal ranked it among the best books of 2011. Lionsgate acquired the film rights, and in 2012, its French translation won the Fitzgerald Prize. His second novel, "A Gentleman in Moscow," was published in 2016 and was ranked among the best books of the year by the Chicago Tribune, Miami Herald, Philadelphia Inquirer, St. Louis Dispatch, and NPR (National Public Radio). Both books have been translated into more than fifteen languages.
