Stella Sourafi

Stella Sourafi hails from Vathy, Samos, and was born in Athens. She studied classical literature at the Faculty of Philosophy in Athens. She works as a philologist and is involved in writing. She has a deep love for the art of words, particularly the Art of Poetry. She has participated in poetry competitions where her poems have received the following awards, commendations, and distinctions: - 1st Prize in the 1st Model Online Competition by Panagiotis Solakidis (December 2015) with "Diary of the Rain." - 2nd Commendation in the Bonsaistories competition (March 2016) with the poem "Rain." - Distinction in the 31st Delphic Poetry Games by the Union of Greek Writers (June 2016) with "Confession of the Unconfessed." - 3rd Prize in erotic poetry in the 6th World Poetry Competition by the Amphictyony of Hellenism (August 2017) with the poem "A Coffee Forever... on the Lips of Memory." She participated in the "Artistic Calendar of 2018," the book, with the poem "August." The first three awarded poems have been translated for the Spanish online magazine "La Galla Ciencia," and excerpts from her current poetry collection have been translated and published in the Spanish literary criticism magazine "Crátera," under the translation supervision of Natasa Lambrou.
