Harald Gilbers

Harald Gilbers was born in 1969 in Niederrhein, Germany. He studied English Philology and History in Augsburg and Munich. He worked as a journalist in television and as a theater director before turning to writing. "Dark Berlin" was his first book and the first part of the Germania trilogy, for which he was awarded the Friedrich Glauser Prize. The next two books of the trilogy, featuring Inspector Oppenheimer, followed and achieved significant success both in Germany and in the countries where they were translated (France - Prix Historia 2016 for the second part of the trilogy), with more to come.
