Katerina Athanasopoulou

Katerina Athanasopoulou was born in London in 1980 and raised in Patras. She is married with three children. She completed her schooling at the Music School of Patras and then studied at the University of Music Studies in Athens. She holds diplomas in Composition and Piano from the Europio Conservatory of Patras. Katerina is a choir conductor with ongoing participation in the musical events of Patras and a composer of music for theatrical performances. She has been a member of European and Byzantine Choirs, a Philharmonic Band, and a musical ensemble. Since 2003, she has been a music teacher in primary and secondary public education. She has participated in and organized programs on digital storytelling, traditional singing, environmental education, health education, and cultural topics. She takes part in music and theater festivals with school and professional groups. Katerina continues to enrich her academic knowledge by attending online music courses at leading educational institutions such as the Juilliard School and Berklee College of Music. Additionally, she attends painting classes at the artistic workshop Oneirou Draseis in Patras.
