Ichiro Kishimi

Ichiro Kishimi was born in 1956 in Kyoto, where he still resides. He aspired to become a philosopher since his high school days. Since 1989, while specializing in classical Western philosophy with a focus on Plato's philosophy, he has been researching Adlerian psychology. He writes and lectures on the subject and provides counseling to young people in psychiatric clinics as a certified counselor of the Japanese Society of Adlerian Psychology. He has translated selected works of Alfred Adler into Japanese and has authored numerous psychological books.
