Lampros Varelas

Lambros Varelas (Vathyrema Trikalon 1968) studied Modern Greek Philology at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. At the same university, he pursued postgraduate studies and completed his doctoral dissertation on literary and intellectual movements in the Greek provinces during the interwar period. He has taught in private secondary education, served as a regular researcher at the Center for the Greek Language, and since 2010, he has been an assistant professor of Modern Greek Philology at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He is also part of the adjunct faculty at the Hellenic Open University. His research interests mainly focus on 19th-century literature, literature in education, and literary and art magazines.
