Walter Mischel

Walter Mischel served as a professor at Stanford University for 21 years and at Columbia University for 35 years, where he held the Robert Johnston Niven Chair in Psychology. He has published more than 200 scientific papers and is one of the authors of the book "Introduction to Personality." He was elected to the National Academy of Sciences and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He was honored with the Distinguished Scientific Contribution Award by the American Psychological Association and the Grawemeyer Award in Psychology. He passed away in September 2018.
