
Sara Mesa
Sara Mesa was born in Madrid in 1976 and moved with her family to Seville at a young age, where she still resides today. She studied journalism and Spanish philology. Initially, she dedicated herself to poetry. Her poetry collection "Este jilguero agenda" won the Miguel Hernandez Poetry Prize in 2007. She is mainly known for her narrative work. Her book "Cuatro por Cuatro" (2013) was shortlisted for the Herralde Novel Prize, while "Cicatriz" (2015) won the El Ojo Crítico award and was recognized by the newspapers El País, El Mundo, and ABC as one of the best novels of the year.
