Grigoris Dimakopoulos

Grigoris K. Dimakopoulos is a civil engineer living and working in Karditsa. He was born in Larissa in 1980, but his roots trace back to Karditsa and Trikala. He studied at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki from 2000 to 2006, where he developed a deep affection for the city. From a very young age, his interest in literature was nurtured, especially after encountering Michael Ende's "The Neverending Story" and the works of Jules Verne. As a young man, he discovered his passion for astrophysics, a passion sparked by reading excerpts from old volumes of "The Unexplained" and various popular science writings he occasionally found in his grandfather's timeless, mysterious, and utterly fascinating library. In Thessaloniki, his love for classic literature and fantasy literature flourished. His favorite book is "The Silmarillion" by J.R.R. Tolkien. The fantasy trilogy "The Age of Legends" is a project he has been working on intensively for the past six years. His award-winning short story "The Pendulum" was his first published work, earning third place in the nationwide Fantasy 2018 competition, part of the Fantasmagoria festival in Thessaloniki (Epic of Fantasy II, iWrite Publications, 2018).
