Nadia Murad

Nadia Murad is a human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate. She has been awarded the Václav Havel Human Rights Prize and the Sakharov Prize, and she is the first United Nations Goodwill Ambassador for the Dignity of Survivors of Human Trafficking. In collaboration with Yazda, an organization for Yazidi rights, she works to bring ISIS to the International Criminal Court on charges of genocide and crimes against humanity. She is the founder of Nadia's Initiative, a program dedicated to supporting victims of genocide and human trafficking in healing their trauma and rebuilding their communities.
