Kike Ferrari

Kike Ferrari was born in 1972 in Buenos Aires. His writings are published in numerous literary magazines and various websites across Latin America and Europe. He also regularly contributes to the newspaper of the subway workers' union in the Argentine capital, where he is employed, managing to balance writing with cleaning the "Uruguay" station on line B. His novels include "Operacion Bukofski," "Lo que no fue" (First Distinction at the Premio Casa de las Americas in 2009), "Punto ciego," co-written with Juan Mattio, and the short story collection "Nadie es inocente." In 2012, with "From Afar They Look Like Flies," he won the Silverio Canada Award for Best Spanish-Language Crime Novel (Opera Prima) at the annual Semana Negra festival in Gijón. The book quickly became a cult phenomenon with a dedicated following. Its new edition by Alfaguara has captivated major publishers internationally.
