Jennifer Egan

Jennifer Egan was born in Chicago in 1962 and studied English literature at the University of Pennsylvania and St John's College, Cambridge. Her novel "A Visit from the Goon Squad" (2011) was awarded the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Critics Circle Award. Her writings have been published in magazines such as The New Yorker, Harper's Magazine, Granta, McSweeney's, and The New York Times Magazine. "Manhattan Beach," her fifth novel, was released in the United States in 2017, was named Book of the Year for New York (One Book, One New York) by the city's administration and New York Magazine, and won the Andrew Carnegie Award for Excellence in Fiction. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and their two children.
