Maria Panagopoulou

Maria Panagopoulou was born and raised in Piraeus. She studied Sociology at Panteion University. Her real surname is Panagoiiliopoulou, but when she started working at SKAI radio at the age of 18, she realized that she had no hope of building a career with such a long surname and decided to shorten it. However, she didn't account for love. Marriage and the birth of her son put her career plans on the back burner as she chose the role of a full-time mom, expressing herself through (amateur) writing. Once her son grew up, she returned to work, choosing the most magical part of the Media, the one behind the cameras. Today, she is active in the field of Public Relations and Communication, writes articles, and maintains her personal blog, thisimarias.com. She is married to journalist Kostas Hardavellas and is the mother of Konstantinos Hardavellas. "I Saw Myself in Your Eyes" was her first book.
