Tara Westover

Tara Westover was born in Idaho in 1986. She graduated from Brigham Young University in 2008 and was subsequently awarded the Gates Scholarship at the University of Cambridge. In 2009, she completed her Master's degree at Trinity College, Cambridge, and in 2010, she was a visiting fellow at Harvard University. She returned to Cambridge, where she earned a Ph.D. in History in 2014. She currently resides in London. "Educated" is her first book, which has been acclaimed by readers and critics alike and translated into 22 languages. It was voted Best Memoir at the Goodreads Choice Awards 2018 and was listed among the New York Times' 10 Best Books of 2018. It is considered one of the most significant books of the year according to the BBC, the Daily Express, the Library Journal, and Entertainment Weekly.
