Greta Thunberg

Greta Thunberg (born 2003) is a Swedish activist. In August 2018, at the age of fifteen, Greta decided to skip her school classes and protest outside the Swedish parliament against her country's political inaction on the issues of global warming and climate change. This decision sparked worldwide student movements known as "Fridays For Future," actively involving over a million students. Greta has Asperger's syndrome, which, as she states, makes everything "black or white" for her, especially when it comes to survival. She has spoken at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Katowice, Poland, the World Economic Forum in Davos, and the European Economic and Social Committee. Time magazine included her in the 100 most influential people of 2019, and her global impact has been described as the "Greta phenomenon." She has received numerous accolades and awards from organizations such as Amnesty International. In March 2019, she was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
