Kate Quinn is an American author of historical fiction, known for her novels that highlight the often overlooked stories of women during pivotal historical periods.
Education and Early Life
Born in Long Beach, California, Quinn studied Classical Voice at Boston University, where she earned her bachelor's degree (2004) and master's degree (2006). From a young age, she showed a passion for history and writing, penning her first story at seven and her first novel at ten.
Writing Career
Quinn began her writing career with novels set in Ancient Rome and the Renaissance, such as the Empress of Rome series and The Serpent and the Pearl and The Lion and the Rose. She later focused on the 20th century, writing works such as:
