Sofia Triantafyllidou

Sophia Triantafyllidou is a graduate of the Department of Food Technology at the Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki and a retired bank employee. She also studied surveying engineering, although she did not complete her studies. She is married and has two children. From a very young age, she had a unique hobby: she enjoyed writing humorous quatrains with rhyme on empty cigarette packs. This pastime delighted her friends, who supplied her with many empty boxes. Over time, she expanded her 'enterprise' by writing more quatrains about love, sadness, loneliness, pain, human values, and the beauty of nature, always featuring her friends, relatives, and herself as protagonists. The Creative Writing Workshop of Chara Andreidou was her first school, and Chara Andreidou was her first teacher, who generously and lovingly taught her the secrets of writing. Sophia Triantafyllidou's 'thesis' is the short story "The Curse of the Garden."
