
Simon Jenkins
Sir Simon Jenkins was born in 1943 in Birmingham and is considered one of the most esteemed journalists in the United Kingdom. He studied philosophy, political science, and economics and served for several years as Chairman of the National Trust. In addition to "A Short History of Europe," he has written other bestselling books such as "A Short History of England," "Britain’s Hundred Best Railway Stations," "England’s Thousand Best Churches," and "England’s Thousand Best Houses." He is a former editor of the Evening Standard and The Times and currently writes for The Guardian.
