Robert Macfarlane

British author Robert Macfarlane (born 1976) is the writer of award-winning bestsellers about nature, places, and people, including "Mountains of the Mind," "The Wild Places," "The Old Ways," "Landmarks," and (with Jackie Morris) "The Lost Words." His works have been translated into many languages, acclaimed worldwide, and widely adapted for film, television, radio, theater, and music. In 2017, he was honored with the E. M. Forster Award for Literature by the American Academy of Arts and Letters. He is a fellow of Emmanuel College, Cambridge.
