Athina Papadaki

Athina Papadaki was born in Athens. She is the daughter of historian Takis Lappas and the daughter-in-law of poet Sofia Mavroeidi-Papadaki. She studied Political Science and worked as a journalist; she was the producer of the radio show "Our Fairy Tales," where children were the creators of the stories. She is a member of the Society of Authors and the Journalists' Union of the Athens Daily Newspapers (ESIEA). She has published twelve poetry collections, two books on poetics, and seven children's books. Her poems have been translated into many languages. Her book "With a Lantern and Wolves" was awarded by the Academy of Athens in 2010
