Ioannis Karras

Dr. Ioannis Karras is a graduate of the Departments of English Literature and Linguistics at the University of Calgary, Canada. He holds two Master's degrees: in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (M.Ed) from the Hellenic Open University, and in Intercultural Communication (M.Sc.) from the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom. He earned his Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from the School of Philosophy at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Foreign Languages, Translation, and Interpreting at the Ionian University and a member of the academic staff and Coordinator at the Hellenic Open University. He has taught in Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programs at numerous universities in Greece and abroad. His research interests and publications focus on intercultural communication, applied linguistics, and language teaching. He has an extensive body of published work, including chapters in collective volumes, conference proceedings, and international journals.
