Isidoros Zourgos

Isidoros Zourgos was born in Thessaloniki in 1964. He studied Pedagogy and serves in primary education as a teacher. He has two children and currently works in Thessaloniki. He has collaborated with various magazines in the past, publishing poetry and prose, as well as bibliographic critical notes. He has also been involved in topics related to the teaching of literature in elementary school and the history of education. In 1996, he participated in a collective publication of texts on education, titled "Breathing Chalk - Writings of Educators," published by Savvalas. He has published the novels: "Fraust" (Livanis, 1995/Patakis, 2010), "Excerpts from the Book of the Ocean" (Patakis, 2000/2007), "The Core of That Summer" (Patakis, 2002/2010), "In the Shadow of the Butterfly" (Patakis, 2005), "The Nightingale Pie" (Patakis, 2008), "Anemolia" (Patakis, 2011 - Readers' Award EKEBI). He also participated in the collective edition "Zoology of the Upper and Lower World" (Patakis, 2009), in the series "Hotel-Tenants of Writing," curated by Michel Fais.
