Ilias Mpountouris

Ilias Boudouris is a Visual Artist and Cultural Management Consultant. His paintings adorn collections in Greece and abroad, and he has created sets and costumes for theatrical performances. Additionally, he has been responsible for the decor of interior and exterior spaces throughout Europe and has been commissioned for architectural studies for public parks and squares across Greece. In parallel, by developing a multifaceted cultural project, he has conducted studies that help regions throughout Greece discover their cultural identity and highlight their local culture. He is credited with the promotion of Zagorochoria, Santorini, the old town of Xanthi, Chania, Nafplio, other areas of the Peloponnese, Aetolia-Acarnania, Corfu, the Cyclades, etc. He has also transformed old buildings of cultural interest into visitor spaces, created museums in unused old buildings on behalf of municipalities, associations, or other entities, and founded 'Chrysalida' and the 'Cultural Park' in Athens. Among other things, he has shaped a square around which workshops of many forgotten Greek professions are developed, introducing them to thousands of school students annually. He has also created Cultural or other Thematic Parks throughout Greece at the behest of entrepreneurs, investors, associations, municipalities, etc. He has received distinctions, awards, and accolades for his work from UNESCO, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Environment, European organizations and entities, Chambers, Associations, Foundations, Media, etc. He is the President or an honorary member of many Cultural and Environmental Associations, Foundations, and NGOs. He writes for Greek, European, and American media on topics related to Greek culture and participates in numerous lectures, conferences, seminars, etc., where he speaks about culture and its promotion. He has published guides featuring the cultural elements of regions in Greece.
