
Sylvain Tesson
Author, journalist, and traveler Sylvain Tesson was born in 1972. After cycling around the world, he developed a passion for Central Asia, which he has been tirelessly exploring since 1997. Among his works published by Gallimard are Sylvain Tesson's books: "Dans les forêts de Sibérie" (2011, Médicis Essay Prize), "Une vie à coucher dehors" (novella – 2009, Goncourt Prize and French Academy Prize), and "Sur les chemins noirs" (2016). "The Snow Leopard" was awarded the Renaudot Literary Prize in 2019.
