Minas Vintiadis

Journalist and author Minas Vintiadis was born in September 1957 in Port Said, Egypt, and grew up in his hometown of Kasos before permanently settling in Athens. His novels "What I Told Claudia," "The Three Marias" (published by Livani, 1996 and 1999), "The Right Foot of God" (Ellinika Grammata, 2003), and the short story collection "The Dragon Rooster" (Ellinika Grammata, 2006) have been published. His short stories have appeared in major Greek literary magazines and have been translated into German. His play "Lower Parthenon" is set to be staged in 2014 by the National Theatre of Northern Greece. Since 1984, he has worked at the newspaper "Ta Nea" as a content editor, head of the cultural section, and editor-in-chief of the historic magazine "Tachydromos." For over twenty years, he wrote and presented the program "Logos Periodevon" on the Third Program of Hellenic Radio. He is a member of the Advisory Committee on Artistic Matters at the "Michalis Kakogiannis" Foundation.
