Michalis Damianos

Michalis is a wandering chef who navigates through the kitchens of Greece and abroad. He makes a living as a dishwasher, chef, and kitchen manager. His professional journey includes a stop in London as a romantic immigrant, in Mykonos as a galley captain, in Ios as a "cirrhotic" drinker, and in Tripoli as a roulette player. Resourceful and versatile, he rides his enduro motorcycle around Athens and sails the Aegean with his self-built seven-meter sailboat. At the same time, he collaborates with nightlife bosses, decodes their behaviors, gets entangled with the demons of the pot, gambling, and drinking, embarks on pilgrimages to Mount Athos, and, finally, arbitrarily creates kitchen manuals and decalogues. In all his adventures, he collects recipes, copies menus, decorates shops, cooks, tinkers, organizes kitchens, and sometimes, just before being kicked out, leaves like Mr. Nobody.
