
Ben Elton
Beyond his work in stand-up comedy, Ben Elton's television involvement includes the renowned series "The Young Ones," "Blackadder," and "The Thin Blue Line." He has written three successful plays that were staged in London's West End and a musical, "The Beautiful Game," in collaboration with Andrew Lloyd Webber. He is also the author of a series of best-selling novels, including "Popcorn," which was honored with the Crime Writers' Association Golden Dagger Award, as well as the titles "Blast from the Past" and "Inconceivable." Last year, he wrote and directed his first feature film, "Maybe Baby," which secured international distribution rights and is set to be released in the U.S. this fall. He is currently working on the film adaptation of "Popcorn" with Ridley Scott and preparing a new stage musical with Queen. Ben Elton lives in London with his wife, Sophie, and their three children.
