Sotiris Gounelas
Born in Athens in 1949, he pursued studies in French and Greek philology in Paris (1970-76), but soon chose to focus on philosophy and writing. His engagement with Plato helped him discover the Orthodox Christian tradition. His acquaintance with P. Nellas in 1982 led him to "Synaxi." From 1986 to 1997, he was responsible for the publication of the magazine. He has translated works by Guénon, Weil, Berdyaev, Florensky, and Desseigne. Since 1999, he has curated the "Bridges" series at Armos. He collaborates with the magazines "Synaxi," "Nea Estia," "Theologia," "Nea Efthyni," and until recently with the newspapers "Kathimerini" and "Eleftherotypia."
