Stelios Papathemelis

Stelios Papathemelis was born in Thessaloniki. Since 1974, he has been continuously elected as a Member of Parliament. He has held various governmental positions in the Ministries of Education, Macedonia-Thrace, and Public Order. He is an avid reader, particularly of history. He has written essays, studies, and speeches. The main tool of his political analysis is Thucydides and classical thought in general. From these and the Gospel, he draws his spiritual "constants."
