
Nena I. Kokkinaki
Nena I. Kokkinaki was born and raised in Athens. Her father hailed from Rethymno and her mother from Larissa. Crete and Thessaly became the roots, the special homeland that shaped her character and inspiration. She studied Classical Philology at the University of Athens and conducted scholarly work on the Thessalian writer M. Karagatsis. She made her literary debut in 1990 with the prose work "The Paper Woman," published by Domos. She is involved in short stories, essays, and book reviews (featured in the columns of "Kathimerini"). Her studies on Greek authors, particularly those of the '30s generation, and interpretative texts on European authors included in high school anthologies have been published. She taught in secondary education schools and served at the Greek Embassy in Paris. Today, she is a Consultant for Philology Teachers in Athens. She is the mother of two children.
