Eleni Katsama

Eleni Katsama was born in 1973 in Athens. She studied journalism and acting. Her books published by Patakis include "Like Swallows," which won the 1st prize from the Greek Children's Book Writers and Illustrators Association, "Kosmodromio," which received the State Award for Adolescent-Youth Book in 2011 and the Diavazo magazine award, and "Gorilla on the Moon," which won the State Award for Adolescent-Youth Book in 2014 and the Anagnostis magazine award. All three of these books were included in the White Ravens list by the International Children's Library in Munich. She has also published two short story collections and a novel for adults. Since 2004, she has been working in the publishing industry as a children's and adolescent book editor.
