Lauren St John

Lauren St John grew up on a farm and wildlife sanctuary in Zimbabwe, surrounded by horses, cats, and dogs, and had a pet giraffe, which inspired her successful book series "White Giraffe" and "One Dollar Horse." At the age of 17, she spent a year in England working at a veterinary clinic before pursuing a career as a journalist covering sports and music. A passionate environmentalist, Lauren is an Ambassador for the "Born Free" foundation and has also founded the "Authors4Oceans" initiative. When she's not rescuing leopards and dolphins, she diligently cares for her not-so-demanding Bengal cat, Max.
