Fontas Ladis

Fontas Ladis was born in 1943 in Sparta. He worked as a journalist for Greek daily newspapers and magazines. From 1967 to 1973, he lived in Rome. He co-published the magazine "Tetradio" with Dimitris Gionis from 1974 to 1976. He has written poetry, prose, travel, political and historical essays, theater, as well as children's books. His poems have been set to music by Mikis Theodorakis, Manos Loizos, Thanos Mikroutsikos, Christos Nikolopoulos, Marios Tokas, Linos Kokotos, Dimitris Lagios, and other Greek composers. He is a member of the Journalists' Union of the Athens Daily Newspapers, the Union of Greek Music Composers and Lyricists, the Greek Crime Writers' Club, and a founding member and president of the Archive and Studies Society "Mnimes."
