Panagiotis Eyagelidis

Panagiotis Evangelidis is an author and translator from Spanish and Japanese. He made his literary debut in the early '30s, in 1993, with the novel "The Hand Under the Clothes" (Kastaniotis). This was followed by the novels "Konstantinos" (Kastaniotis, 1997), "The Turns of Thunder" (Kedros, 2001), and "Sick on a Journey" (Polychromos Planitis, 2016). In the late '80s, he went to Japan intending to stay for a month but ended up staying for four years. He was fascinated by the ideograms, discovering his interest in the writing system of the Japanese language. Until recently, he was the only one translating Japanese literature into Greek from the original texts. In 2008, he collaborated with Panos H. Koutras on the screenplay for the film "Strella."
