Kostis Gimosoulis

Kostis Gimosoulis was born in Athens. He writes short stories, such as "The Cry of the Butterfly." Sometimes these stories grow into novellas or novels, like "A Night with the Red," "Anatoli," "Hand in the Fire," "It Rains Light," "The Beast is Everywhere," "Confession to a Colombian Dog," "Ash in the Eyes," "The Angel of the Machine," "Her Night on Red," "Her Ghost," "The Nightingale on Her Leg," "The Inside and the Outside," "All One," and "Metaxochori (Alphabet for Mountains)." He also writes poetry, including "The Woodcutter Fever," "The Holy Ink," "The Thief Mouth," "Dangerous Children," and "Love from Jealousy." In 2001, he published "Black Gold," a book containing poems, short stories, and watercolor paintings, while in 2011, "To Learn to Fly" was released, featuring fairy tale-like stories for both children and adults, along with nine illustrations by Yiannis Psychopaidis, specifically inspired for the book. In 2013, "Two Months in the Warehouse" was published, a personal account of his stay in a hospital. In 2014, his book "The Strange Things We Don't Forget" was released, which includes short prose, poems, and his own drawings. His works have been translated into various languages. For his poetry collection "The Woodcutter Fever," he received the Maria Ralli Award for debut authors.
