Eleni Tsikritea - Choreanthi was born in Agia Varvara Trichonidas, in the Aetolia-Acarnania region. She completed her primary education at Paravola Elementary School and attended the Girls' High School of Agrinio. She studied Pedagogy at the Piraeus Pedagogical Academy and pursued further education at the Pedagogical Institute and the University of Athens. Alongside her career as a public servant, she engaged in journalism and literature, including poetry, prose, essays, theater, critical studies, and translation. A particular focus of hers has been the study of the Greek language. Her writings have been published in the most reputable educational and literary magazines in Athens and the provinces (such as Diavazo, Efthini, Tomes, Tram, Grafi, Elitrochos, Odos Panos, Nea Estia, Ereuna, Periplous, School and Life, School and Home, Modern Education, Children's Literature Review, among others) as well as in newspapers (such as Rizospastis, Proti, Kathimerini, Ethnos, Nea Epohi Agriniou, Limnos, Nea Limnos, Foni Aigiou, Chiakos Laikos, Aitoliki, Eleftheros Agriniou, Mesolongitika Chronika, among others). She also contributes to children's magazines such as Rodi and Synergasia, with the latter being a regular collaboration. Her poetic and prose works have been included in the elementary school textbooks "My Language." She is a regular member of the Hellenic Authors' Society and the Circle of Greek Children's Books. She participated in the evaluation committee for the admission of new members to the Society of Greek Writers and, since 1994, has been a member of the Ministry of Culture's committee for awarding works for children (Children's Book). She has been honored with the first Markos Avgeris award by the Hellenic Authors' Society for her historical novel "Mesolongi, the City of Water," and the Hellenic Society of Christian Letters awarded her the 2000 prose award for her social novel titled "The Dark Warehouse." The Union of Aetolia-Acarnania Writers awarded her an honorary plaque for her contribution to Literature, as did the "Lykochorion" association for the same reason.
