Stamatis Fasoulis
Originating from Ampelakia, Salamina, Stamatis Fasoulis graduated from the Drama School of the National Theatre. His first appearance on stage was in 1972 in Gogol's "The Inspector" (Fertis-Kalogeropoulou troupe). He was a key member of the Free Theatre and later of the Free Stage. Since 1992, he has led his own troupe, and in 1999, he inaugurated the Horn Theatre as both director and lead actor, which has since become his permanent base. As a director, he has staged almost every genre of theatre, from classical plays to revues and musicals, as well as children's performances. He has collaborated with the National Theatre, directing Aristophanes' "Plutus," Lenos Christidis' "Nice Phase," and the musical spectacle "Weigh Anchor" by Th. Papathanasiou and M. Reppas. With his own troupe, he directed and starred in plays such as "Laurels and Oleanders" (D. Kehagias - E. Haviara), "Mother - Mom - Mama" (G. Dialegmenos), "The Little Plant" (P. Horn), "Dads with Rum" (M. Reppas - Th. Papathanasiou), "ART" (Y. Reza), "Closer" (P. Marber), "Three Days of Rain" (R. Greenberg), "The House is Leaving" (A. Nikoli), among others. He has translated most of the plays he directed and has written scripts for twenty revues.
