Foteini Tsalikoglou

Fotini Tsalikoglou studied at the University of Geneva, specializing in Clinical Psychology. She is an author and a professor of Psychology at Panteion University, where she teaches courses such as 'Clinical Psychology through Literature and Art' and 'Forensic Psychology: Clinical Applications.' She has authored numerous scientific books and essays, including "Schizophrenia and Murder (In Search of the Lost Paradise)," "Mythologies of Violence and Repression," "The Myth of the Dangerous Mentally Ill," "Psycho-logical (The Traps of the Obvious)," "Psychology of Everyday Life (The Culture of the Ephemeral)," "The Soul in the Land of Things," and "The Future Belongs to Surprise." She co-authored the dialogue book "Perhaps?" with Margarita Karapanou, and wrote "You Don't Love Me, You Love Me: The Oddities of Maternal Love," the letters of Margarita Liberaki to her daughter Margarita Karapanou, as well as the fairy tale "The Fairy of the Earth" (illustrated by Alexis Kyritsopoulos). She is also the author of novels such as "The Daughter of Anthi Alkaiou," "I, Martha Freud," "Eros Pharmacist," "I Dreamed I Was Well," "The Gift of Bertha" (nominated for the 2010 Readers' Award by the National Book Centre of Greece), "All the Yeses in the World," "The Happy Island," "8 Hours and 35 Minutes," and "The Move." Her books have been translated into various languages, including English, Italian, German, and Turkish, and are available in Europe and America. The novel "8 Hours and 35 Minutes" (The Secret Sister), available in Europe and America, was recognized by World Literature Today as one of the most notable translated books of 2015. Its Italian translation (Sorella segreta) by Maurizio de Rosa received the State Award for the translation of a Greek literary work into a foreign language. She is a member of the Society of Authors.
