THanasis S. Diamantopoulos

Thanasis Diamantopoulos initially studied law and political science at the Law School of the University of Athens and later pursued philosophy, psychology, and pedagogy at the Faculty of Philosophy of the same university. With successive scholarships from the French government and the Stassinopoulos Foundation, he completed postgraduate studies at the Sorbonne under Professor Maurice Duverger and holds a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Paris 1. He conducted postdoctoral research at Oxford as well. A professor in the Department of International and European Studies at Panteion University, he has also taught as a visiting professor at the Lille Institute of Political Studies. He served as president of the National Centre for Public Administration. He is the author of numerous scientific and two literary books, and his work "Electoral Systems: Theory and Practical Applications," "The Emergence of Parliaments and Presidents of Democracy" is published by Patakis Publishers and has also been translated and published by the University of Brussels Press. For many years, he has collaborated as a political commentator-analyst with "Kathimerini," "Oikonomikos Tachydromos," "Typos tis Kyriakis," and the radio station "Athina 9.84."
