
Elena Perikleous
Elena Perikleous was born in 1970 in Pentayia, Cyprus, which is currently under Turkish occupation. She spent her childhood in the village of Kampos and now resides in Nicosia. She studied education in Cyprus and later pursued Environmental Education in London. Elena is an active member of environmental organizations and frequently contributes articles to the daily press. She currently works as a teacher. Her first book, "A Red Thread Wrapped Around the Computer," was awarded the First Prize for Children's Novel by the Cyprus Association of Children's and Youth Books. Her second book, "Through the Eyes of a Dog," received the State Prize for Children's Literature from the Ministry of Education and Culture of Cyprus. Her third book, "The Boy... Who Was the Star of the Earth," was honored with the Novel Award from the Women's Literary Society.
