Anastasios D. Karagiannis

Anastasios Karagiannis teaches in the Department of Economics at the University of Piraeus and has taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses at various academic institutions in Greece and abroad. His main research and teaching interests focus on the fields of the history of economic thought, economic methodology, and entrepreneurship. He has published articles in internationally recognized journals such as the "International Journal of Social Economics," "Bulletin of Economic Research," "The South African Journal of Economics," "International Review of Economics and Business," "History of Political Economy," "History of Economic Ideas," "Indian Journal of Applied Economics," "International Journal of New Ideas," "Archives of Economic History," and "Spoudai." Other studies of his have been published in collective volumes by international publishing houses. He has authored books including "General Economic Equilibrium: A Critical Analysis of the Modern Paradigm" (Stamoulis, Piraeus, 1989), "The Foundations of Business Success" (Interbooks, Athens 1994, also translated into Romanian, Editura Economica, 1995), "History of Economic Thought: Pre-Classical Period-Studies" (Interbooks, Athens 1998), "Entrepreneurship and Economy: Studies" (Interbooks, Athens 1999), co-authored with I. Hassid "Entrepreneurship in the Greek Economy: Economic and Social Approach" (Interbooks, Athens 1999), and co-authored with S. Drakopoulos "A Concise History of Economic Thought" (Interbooks, 1999), among others.
