Giorgos Douatzis

Giorgos Douatzis was born in Athens on December 12, 1948. He studied Economics at the Higher Industrial School of Thessaloniki and Sociology at the 8th University in Paris. A journalist since 1974, he has worked in newspapers, magazines, radio, and television stations as a reporter, columnist, political analyst, and director. His first appearance was in 1971 in the Poetry Anthology of the New Greek Generation by "Agyra" publications. His second appearance was the dance drama performance based on his poem "Conflicting Symbols and Journey into the Light" in May 1973, with music by G. Tsagaris and choreography by Elli Paraskeva. His works have been translated into English, Russian, French, German, Spanish, and Czech. www.douatzis.gr
