
Nikos S. Pournaras
Nikos Pournaras was born in Mathia, Messinia, in 1935 and studied theology at the University of Athens. He was appointed to Secondary Education in 1965. From 1978 to 1983, he taught at the Model School of Anavryta, and since the beginning of 1984, he has served as a School Counselor for Secondary Education, Sector A.
In 1981, he was awarded a doctorate from the Theological School of the University of Athens for his five-year research (dissertation) on the topic: "The Knowledge of God." The foundation of the study is Clement of Alexandria, but it also encompasses a wide range of sources from the Holy Scriptures, the Church Fathers, and philosophy. His other major works include:
