
Vasiliki Neyrokopli
Vasiliki Nevrokopli was born in 1968. She studied at the Department of Primary Education and the Department of Theatre at the School of Fine Arts in Thessaloniki. In 1999, her theatrical monologue "I, the Other" was published by Nisides Publications. In 2005, the lyrics of two songs, "Zeibekiko of Exile" and "Helidonisma," were included in the CD "Exile" by Kyriakos Kalaitzidis, released by "En Chordais" Publications. In 2007, her fairy tale "If You Love Them, They Come Back" was published by Livani Publications. This book received the 2008 award from the Circle of the Greek Children's Book as a book for preschool and early school age, and the 2008 Children's Illustrated Book Award from the magazine "Diavazo." She also shared the second prize in a short story competition for the Greek language in the international contest themed "The Parthenon Marbles - The Story of the Theft or The Theft of History," organized by the Asociaciοn Cultural Helenica "Nostos" in Argentina.
In May 2015, her book series "The Stories of Kallistratos" was awarded the international "Annie Vallotton" prize in the children's literature category at the global conference of the United Bible Societies' publishers in Seoul, Korea.
