CHristina Ntounia

Christina Dounia is a Professor of Modern Greek Literature in the Department of Philology at the University of Athens. She holds a degree from the School of Philosophy at the University of Athens and pursued postgraduate studies at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales, the Modern Greek Institute of the Sorbonne, and the Department of Philology at the University of Thessaloniki. She has taught in secondary education, at the University of Crete, the University of Ioannina, and the Open University, and has worked as a literary critic for the magazine Anti. Her studies and articles have been published in journals and collective volumes. In 2000, she was awarded the State Essay Prize, and in 2016, she received the Essay Prize from the Academy of Athens (Petros Haris Foundation).
